"The fires of the Clone Wars are burning thoughout every corner of the galaxy. Guided by the Sith and under the direct leadership of Count Dooku, the Confederacy of Indepenedent Systems has dealt one crippling blow after another to the Republic
Recalled from a battlefront in the Outer Rim, Obi-wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker return to Coruscant to find the planet under siege. Seeking to drive the Republic into further chaos, the malicious cyborg General Grievous has infiltrated the capital and abducted Supreme Chancellor Palpatine.
As the Seperatist army flees Coruscant with its prize, Obi-Wan and Anakin lead an urgent rescue mission to free the captive Chancellor. The fate of the galaxy rides with them; failure could mean an end to the war.....and to the Republic itself."
Its Star Wars nontheless. We all know the story beginning from little slave Anakin to fateful fight of Luke Skywalker and his father. The newest and hopefully not the last Star Wars has come out. Now has the game. This is one of the best Star Wars games yet to be made. This and Star Wars Battlefront II is a must buy for the fans.
Sticking With The Story: 8/10
Now this game did stick with the overall story of what George Lucas created, but there were some parts that were new. When Anakin and Obi-Wan were trying to save the chancellor they extended the rescue. It took a lot longer than in the movie. Another thing when Anakin fought Dooku instead of cutting of his arm and taking his sword and cutting his head off he just stabs his saber into him and Dooku has the good ol "Aye, What The heck just happened?" look. There other parts, but I'll leave that to secrecy.
Gameplay: 9/10
I loved the gameplay. Simply awesome! You get to earn experience and learn new techniques, use alot of force techniques like force heal, and best of all it has awesome finishing attacks, or critical attacks. Its really hard and some points. Its definatly not a one dayer. Did I mention you can use blaster cannons? there awesome. You get to shoot the heck outa of ships. Well on certain levels. The enemies are great too. They even introduce a couple new enemies than in the movie. Then when the movie comes on they actually use the movie itself. The graphics on the movie are awesome when they come onto the game.
Charecters
Ahh, the charecters. Well as you go along and beat the game you unlock charecters to play in Mulitplayer. The charecters are: Anakin Skywalker, Obi-wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, General Grevious, Count Dooku, Cin Drallig, Serra, and a surprise two charecters! Old Ben and Darth Vader(IV,V, VI version)! Yes, you heard my correctly! Woo! And dont get disapointed, there is Yoda. You only get to use him in one of the levels and a bonus mission called "Size Matters Not". Now another thing Id like to point out is that you know in the movie when Anakin killed all the "younglings". Well you get to do that too when you destroy the Jedi temple. Well the One-lightsabered Younglings are easy...they put up a good fight. Then there are the doubled light saber staff. Well the first time you play em, there a bit difficult. You would wanna use your force techniques and then bash em to death. Well thats atleast what I do.
Multiplayer
Mulitplayer is obviously two players since hence Playstation 2 has only 2 controllers! I dunno about x-box. Well the multiplayer action is great. Get to choose from the levels you obviously use in the story. Well a surprise here. Remember when I told you there is Old Ben and Darth Vader(IV, V, VI version)? Well remeber the scene where Ben and Vader fight? Welp, thats one of the levels! You know how they have bonus missions? Well thats one of them. Your Vader and you fight Ben...and who woulda guessed: after the fight (if you win) if has the scene were Vader kills him and Luke gets pissed and starts shooting! Added bonus. Well, here is a story from today when I was versing my brother. I was Anakin and well..he was Anakin. We were fighting and I used an attack. Grabbed him and kicked him the balls. Thats just painful! There are awesome attacks.
The Art Of Jedi Combat
To succed in combat, a Jedi must master mind, body, and saber. Below is a sampling of many Combat Moves and Force Powers. For a complete list, refer to the Combat Chart in the in-game pause menu. More powerful moves can be unlocked by spending Experience Points at the end of a mission. For more information see Experience, page 12. The Two Jedi heroes have distinct styles of combat: Obi-Wan relies more on speed and agility, while Anakin relies on strength and power. Anakin is more brash, powerful and sometimes a bit out of control. His moves involce more complex spins and saber twirls. Anakin's upgraded attacks become even more agessive as he is consumed by the Dark Side. Obi-Wan relies on a simpler, straightforward saber fighting style. He doesnt have raw power of Anakin, so he must be more precise with his attacks and less showy.
(if you havnt noticed I just typed this out of the manual! )
Anyway its a must buy and I look forward to enjoying more multiplayer action and even maybe starting over. I would get if I were you guys well depending if you have PS2 or X-Box. So there bes my report.
So not your father,
